CORE01

Fast tank battles

Jump into a battle in seconds, grab supplies, chase the gold drop and push the flag home with your team. Every hull and turret plays differently, every map has shortcuts to find, and every online match pays you toward your next upgrade.

Build your tank

  • Hulls for every style – from a nimble parkour scout to a slow, unbreakable fortress. Weight matters: heavy tanks shove, light tanks fly.
  • Turrets that feel unique – charged rail shots, twin cannons that fire in turns, flamethrowers, freeze streams, arcing mortars, chain lightning, gravity wells, sticky bombs and more.
  • Upgrade at your own pace – five tiers (M0 to M4) for every hull and turret, with step-by-step micro-upgrades in between. No waiting timers.
  • Paints and cosmetics – make your tank yours. Paints are purely cosmetic; protection comes from gadgets and protections you earn in battle.
  • Loadout presets – save up to ten setups and share them with a code.

SOCIAL03

A real community

  • Server browser – see every running battle, join friends, or create your own room with custom rules.
  • Clans and clan wars – with seasons and a ladder.
  • Ranked play – with divisions, tournaments and spectator tools for casters.
  • Chat, friends and battle invites – plus language and newbie channels.
  • Map builder – build your own arena, test it with bots, share it, and enter community contests.
  • Mod support – custom turrets, paints and maps, and modded servers for you and your friends.

STUNTS04

Real tank parkour

Tanks climb over each other, flip off ramps, ride walls and launch off kickers. Light tanks can pull recoil flips, a boosted loop turns you upside down, and heavy tanks make a very good step.

F2P05

Fair by design

  • Free to play – the store will sell cosmetics only. You can't buy power.
  • Free reward crates – after online matches with other players, with published odds. They are never sold and need no keys.
  • Runs on almost anything – a "Potato" graphics preset keeps older PCs in the fight.
ONLINE06

Always online

Progress, Scraps and ranks are earned in real online battles. Practice against bots any time: it's free, but it doesn't pay.

Maps that fight back

A few of the arenas. Every map has a parkour spot and shortcuts to learn. Not every map is in the first playtest.

Jump pads, drawbridges, seesaws, wrecking balls, tunnels under the map, walls you can blast open, tar pits and smoke. Weather and seasons change the battlefield, from summer dust to winter snow and night battles.

NEW

The playtest is a direct download

The first Tankrite playtest comes as a free direct download for Windows, not through Steam. Use the Download button at the top, or sign up with your email on this page and we will tell you when a test session opens.

DEV LOG

The Steam page is being prepared

Tankrite has an app on Steam (2075030). The store page is not public yet; once it is, you can wishlist the game there. Early Access is planned on Steam.

DEV LOG

Dev log: meet the new hull roster

Seven hulls are in the garage: Dart and Manta (light), Keel and Stag (medium), Anvil and Sledge (heavy) and the super-heavy Bunker. Beetle and Tortoise are next. Each hull handles differently, and old saves were moved over automatically.

FAQ

Q01Is Tankrite free to play?

Yes. Tankrite is free to play during Early Access and will stay free after. We plan to sell optional cosmetic items only.

Q02Is it pay-to-win?

No. The store will only sell cosmetics. Scraps, upgrades and ranks are earned by playing online, and reward crates are free after online matches, never sold and need no keys.

Always online. Needs the Microsoft WebView2 Runtime (built into Windows 11 and most Windows 10 PCs; the playtest download includes an installer). A "Potato" preset helps older PCs. These are estimates from our test PCs; we will confirm them before Early Access.

Q04Is there a browser version?

No. Tankrite is a Windows game. The playtest is a direct download; Early Access is planned on Steam. It needs an internet connection to play online.

Q05When is the playtest?

We plan to open the first playtest in autumn 2026. It is a direct download for Windows (the Download button at the top of this page), not a Steam playtest. Sign up with your email on this page and we will email you when a test session opens. The first playtest has a smaller set of maps; ranked play, tournaments and community contests come later.

Q06How do I install the playtest?

Download the zip, unzip it into a folder of your choice and start Tankrite.exe from there. Windows may warn about an unknown app the first time. If the menu stays empty, run "Install WebView2.cmd" from the same folder once. Then create your account in the game. Found a bug? Press F8.

Q07Which languages does it support?

English, German and Russian.

Q08Does it support controllers or Steam Deck?

Not yet: Tankrite needs a mouse and keyboard for now. Controller support is planned for Early Access. Linux and Steam Deck are untested.
